It is Arabs legal right to do so and call it Arab Golf.
Why?
Distortion (Tahrif in Persian) of local names to Persian from other nations languages and cultures, such as Turks Turkmens, Qashqaies, Arabs, Balochs, Lors, Gilaks, Mazanies and Kords are a usual and accepted normal official and political daily activities in Iran.
Not only the government of Iran but also majority of Persian's elites and intellectuals do not listen to above mentioned nations voices and denied their legal and lawful voices as well.
If the Persian are doing so in last one hundred years in all parts of Iran, then it should be the right of others do the same and change the name as they wish.
Because, If you do some thing for a long period of the time, it becomes equal right for everyone too.
Changing the names by officials, is not an acceptable action by Turks, turkamans, qashqaeis, and other nation in Iran but in the silence of elites and intellectuals, the officials are changing the names of the lakes, rivers, mountains, hills, villages, towns, cities and even the name of counties and provinces regardless of those nations protest.
